A Good Place for Study

We usually do our homework and study in campus.However,it is not always easy to find a seat in the PCC's library.And then,we discover "TeaSpots" for us to study instead of PCC.TeaSpots is a restaurant which closes to PCC.

First of all,during the study,if students feel hungry and thirsty,TeaSpots have delicious food and drinks.When we come to TeaSpots,sometimes we may get food here and do not have to change places.This action can save time for us and we can keep our best status to study our subject.Moreover,we can set free wi-fi in TeaSpots when we bring our computers.We can use internet to do our assignment at there.Also,it is easy for us to search information for our subjects.Last,TeaSpots will make you feel relax and comfortable.There are some music which can charge us,and there has more comfortable sofa that feels like home.

To sum up,there are many reasons for us to choose TeaSpots.It is the best place to study except PCC.That is why there are many people go to TeaSpots in the break time.

  Touchint the void is a movie which is edited from a real story. This movie is really a cliffhaner, because i tells the story how Simon and Joe climbed to the peak of the mountain and what perilous situations they confronted. Although Simon left Joe and went back alone, that was not his fault. Simon was a true friend to Joe.
  Firstly, Simon  tried everything he could when Joe broke his right leg. Simon did not leave him done, and he discussed with Joe how to solve this horrible situation. Then, he used rope to help Joe descend after several hours. Unfortunlity, Joe fell to the cliff under that process, but Simon did not know what happened to Joe. Therefore,Simon had choice but to cut the rope or they both would die. Simon felt very guilty for what he did. Actually, Simon did not do anything wrong because that was Joe's mistake and Simon did his best to save him. However Simon thought that was his mistakes, and he did not know how to explain to Joe's parents and their friends. If Simon was not a true friend to Joe, Simon would not have felt guilty or even told the truth to Peter. Last, Simon went out of the camp and found what happened when he hear the voice of Joe. At the same time, Peter did not want to go out and he pretent to hear nothing because he felt scarual, and he did not believe that was a human being. They thought Joe was dead. On the other hand, Simon tried his best to search to the voice and felt very happy when he found Joe.
  To sum up, according to the details and evidences we found. He could have done many things to change the truth and the result which would have been good for him if he wanted, but Simon did not do those.

    English is an essential tool for people to communicate to all of the world.So some people come to the United States to learn English.We are studying English in PCC.We have good reasons why we chose PCC's ESL Program.
    First of all,PCC's ESL Program has many good teachers.They have been patient to teach students so far,because it is not easy to teach students whose native language is not English.They are trying to be friends with their students.This action can make the class more interesting and increase more conversations between teachers and students undoubtedly.Moreover,there are many challenges in the ESL classes.Challenges force us to learn more knowledge.It is good for us to confront challenges when we are studying.We have to memorize a lot of grammar and vocabulary in ESL classes.It is not easy for students to get a high score on tests if they do not study hard enough.Last,PCC has many support systems for students to study English after classes.We can use computers in the LAC to do research online.The LAC also has many study materials,such as DVDs and books.The ESL center is also a support system at PCC.They have free English tutors to help students to correct their essays and English homework.
    To sum up,PCC's ESL program is a great place for people who want to study English.That is why we chose PCC.We will try try our best to learn English here.

My Learning Methods

       Everyone in the world has his or her own learning methods to help them to study. We want to use our own learning style because it is the best way for us to study. There are a few ways i prefer for learning.

       First of all, i am a visual learner. No matter what kinds of things i learn, i prefer to watch some charts about that at first. It is a useful and interesting way for me to learn. I spend a lot of time on watching other players' videos when i play "Starcraft II". I also prefer to study by charts when i want to improve my history knowledge. Furhtermore, i am an auditory learner. For me, it is a method to get information very quickly. I like to learn knowledge said by professors more than wrote by professors. When  i go to cafe and get lunch, i always tell waiters to tell me what they recommend today. Last, i have some interpersonal intelligence. As everyone has their specific opinions, we can learn more from other people. i usually do projects with a group of people, and our project will be full of information because of discussion. when i want to learn some sports. I usually call some friends to play with me. One of the reasons is i can learn from them.

      In conclusion, it is very important to have one or more learning methods which are fitted to you. You will learn efficiently if you find one or more.

Methods of Learning English Outside Class

                We know some good ways to study English outside class. As English is a necessary tool to communicate to the entire world, more and more people start to learn English. There are some useful ways to study English in our social life. Firstly, we can meet more people who are from different countries in the United States. In general, we can talk with our neighbors because American people like to chat with strangers. Sometimes, our foreign friends invite us to their parties, and this will improve our English speaking skills because we can have more opportunities to talk with foreign people in English. Furthermore, people find a foreign girl friend or boy friend who does not speak the same first language as they do. When people fall in love, they will try much harder to understand the meaning from what their lover said. We need to improve English to talk to our lover with deep feelings. Last of all, social experience is very important after we graduate because it helps us to get jobs easily and learn English. Some students volunteer on campus. They do not only improve their English, but also get more credits. Moreover, we can do part time jobs for foreign companies that can help our English and financial situation. In conclusion, we should spend more time with foreign people in our social life. This is the best way to practice English in the United States.

First Experience Of Learning English    

        My first experience learning English was wonderful enough. I felt easy and comfortable to learn English at that time. I wanted to learn English without any forcing from my family even though i was six at that moment. At the beginning, i learned English single words from my English home teacher employed by my mother. She taught me some easy single words, such as "cat", "dog" and "hair". Actually i felt bored at first, because i thought i did not need to learn English and I already knew how to say this in Chinese. But my teacher changed my feeling, she made a game with her vocabulary-card and played with me and i would get present if i won this game. I really felt excited to play that game even i forget what game it was now. Then, my teacher played a cartoon to me to watch. I remember the cartoon she played was "Tiny Toon Adventures". That was the first time i watched that cartoon. It made me felt very happy after the teacher said that was the present she gave me. Anyway, that cartoon made me wanted to learn more English because i could not understand the meaning from those roles before i learned English well. At last, one more thing which made me felt learning English was wonderful was that my mom and teacher said they would bought me a Gameboy if i passed all exams from my teacher in the following 2 months. When i was six, Tv always showed Gameboy's advertisements, and they affected me a lot. Finally, i had an opportunity to get one. To sum up, I felt very wonderful for my first experience of learning English even though i did not win the Gameboy.

a) Why are you studying English? Explain with details.
There are two reasons that i am studying English. The First reason is that i have to improve my English for me to transfer to some other good universities in the future. This is very important for my later studying life in university. To make sure i can understand the knowledge which is taught in English. The Second reason is that English is a basic tool to communicate to people all over the world. This will help me to get more friends and know more culture of different countries when i get very good English skill.

b) Do you use English very much when you're not in this class? Explain what situations you need to use it in.
I do not use English very much when i am out of the class. The situation that I will use English is when i talk to my professors and my friends who are not from the same country. Moreover, when i go to some foreign restuarants, shops and markets, i will use English, too. In my daily life, i usually use my native language because most of my friends are chinese, and i talk to them in our language. These are the reasons that i do not use English in that much.

c) How do you feel when you use English? Are you sometimes nervous,comfotrable, or..?Explain.
Different situations i have different feelings. Sometimes nervous sometimes comfortable. When i am in my ESL class, i feel comfortable to use English, becasue teacher talks with us by some easy words. It is easier for us to understand the meaning of teacher said. However, when i talk with some native friends or people who are out of the school, it is hard for me to understand every words they said, sometimes i totally do not undertand what they said.This kind of situations make me nervous because i do not know what i can reply to them.
